my personal background and journey into fitness training

I began my career as an ACE Certified Personal Trainer at a private studio in 2010. Our training programs emphasized weight loss, strength training, and corrective exercise. During this period, I also obtained a Level 1 certification with Perfect Postures, focusing on corrective exercise, and became a Metabolic Lifestyle Ecological Advisor, which centers on holistic eating practices tailored to individual metabolic types.

I then took a break from training to focus on raising my children, however, my passion for nutrition, health, and fitness remained unwavering. In 2022, I earned my RYT 200-Hour Yoga Certification, and subsequently obtained an NASM CPT Certification. Since achieving my CPT in December 2023, I have been actively working with clients both in person and virtually.

My passion for fitness and helping others achieve their goals stems from my personal journey, which has deepened my understanding and compassion for those facing similar struggles. I am dedicated to supporting individuals on their path to improved health and well-being, focusing not only on physical aspects like weight loss and muscle building but also on mental and emotional well-being through mindfulness and positive mindset changes.

My own experiences with weight loss, yo-yo dieting, and food obsession have made me empathetic to others' situations, and I strive to create a supportive environment where clients feel empowered to reach their goals.

If a client experiences discomfort or challenges during training, I work closely with them to identify and address the root cause, modifying exercises as needed for their comfort and safety. Safety and injury prevention are paramount in my training philosophy. I believe in gradual progression, ensuring that each step forward is manageable and sustainable in the long run. By prioritizing sustainability, I aim to help my clients build habits that will support their health and fitness goals for the long term.

how i tailor programs to meet client needs

I tailor my programs to meet individual client needs by providing a thorough assessment process. This includes static assessments to evaluate posture and alignment, movement assessments to identify any imbalances or limitations, and fitness assessments (if in-person) to determine baseline fitness levels. Based on this information, I design a program that focuses on stabilization and strength endurance before progressing to muscle gain and more intense exercises. I also take into consideration any specific goals, preferences, or limitations that the client may have.

Throughout the program, I provide ongoing support, feedback, and adjustments as needed to ensure that the client is progressing safely and effectively. My goal is to create a program that not only helps clients achieve their fitness goals but also promotes overall well-being and a positive mindset.

How much does personal training cost?

Prices depend upon what you are looking for. It can be anywhere from $200 to $1050 per month (not including add-on services like habit and accountability coaching). Pricing is also dependent upon the type of training you want, how many sessions per week, and how long of a commitment.

What do your packages include?

  1. All packages include a monthly body movement and static assessment and a session to review the program for the month. Measurements and weight will also be included if you are interested. My main focus is on how you feel, how clothes fit, and monthly images. Packages also include text support with a 24-hour response time, and access to my Trainerize App.
  2. Online training will include 1-3 customized strength workouts to perform on your own, 2 15-minute check-ins during the month, as well as the details above.
  3. You can also add on accountability and habit coaching which includes daily check-ins with support and motivation, as well as new habits to work on ranging from 1-4 per month, depending on your progress, adherence to new habits, and goals.
